Embracing Life's Seasons: Finding God in Every Change

"For everything, there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1 NLT

Summer surrenders to autumn as trees transform from green to brilliant red and gold. Leaves dry, drop, and crunch beneath our feet. Cool nights bring crisp air that shifts our thoughts from summer's heat to winter's approach.
"A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest." Ecclesiastes 3:2 NLT
Autumn invites reflection on the year behind us and anticipation of what lies ahead. Fall signals new studies, activities, and routines begin.
"A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up." Ecclesiastes 3:3 NLT
Life changes like seasons change. Endings become beginnings. Change releases us from complexity into beauty. The butterfly emerges as something magnificent from what appears to fall apart.
"A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:4 NLT
When circumstances shift, we grieve what feels familiar, comfortable, and understood. Yet we also discover joy in new, vibrant, exciting challenges ahead.
"A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away." Ecclesiastes 3:5 NLT
We embrace change by understanding God walks with us every step. He remains the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end.
"A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away." Ecclesiastes 3:6 NLT
Change arrives inevitably. Nothing stays the same. Sometimes change hurts, but God faithfully accompanies us through all life phases—good times and difficult ones. We can embrace life's changes and allow God to guide and teach us as we surrender, or we can grow bitter and angry at shifting circumstances.
"A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak." Ecclesiastes 3:7 NLT
In nature, growth stops only in death or stagnation. The natural world either grows or dies, but each change produces something new. When we welcome God into our changes, we always witness life and growth.
"A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace." Ecclesiastes 3:8 NLT
Let us enter this new season with joy and confidence, seeking God's guidance as we embrace life's challenges, knowing He journeys with us. He never leaves us nor forsakes us.
Pause and Reflect:
Are you in a new season or a waiting season? Lean into God and pray for flexibility to change as He directs.
As your season changes, grieve what you leave behind, but rejoice in the new season God brings you into.
